The Tibetan Children’s Music Ensemble

The Tibetan Children’s Music Ensemble was founded in 2004 by Tseten Chonjor.

The purpose of the Ensemble was and continues to be, to foster and preserve the music and dance of Tibet within the Tibetan community, as well as to promote an awareness of Tibetan culture in BC.

The group brings together Tibetan children and youth from 5-16 years of age to study and perform Tibetan music, dance, and song. Regular practices take place weekly for most of the year.

The Children have performed at various events, that include: Public Dialogues and Talks with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, We Day, The Vancouver Children's Festival, Tibet Festivals, and Tibetan community events in the Vancouver area and in Washington State.

In 2006, the group recorded a CD entitled “In the Footsteps of our Ancestors”.
