Welcome To Tibetan Cultural Society of British Columbia

Our Story And Purpose
Celebrating Tibetan heritage, fostering community unity, and inspiring future generations across British Columbia since 1981.

Who We are
Incorporated in 1981 under the B.C. Societies Act, the Tibetan Cultural Society of British Columbia (TCS of BC) is a non-sectarian, non-profit organization founded by Tibetans living in the Greater Vancouver region. We serve as a vital cultural bridge, supporting and connecting Tibetan-Canadians throughout the province.

Mission & Values
Our mission is to preserve and celebrate Tibetan culture, language, and heritage for future generations. Rooted in the peaceful, non-violent philosophy espoused by His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama, we are dedicated to ensuring Tibetan-Canadian youth can learn, practice, and take pride in their unique cultural identity.

History & Community Impact
Tibetans have called British Columbia home since 1971, building a thriving and resilient community across the region. In honor of our enduring heritage and civic contributions, the cities of Vancouver, Surrey, and Burnaby officially proclaim March 10 as Tibet Day each year.
