Losar (Tibetan: ལོ་གསར་ "new year") is a festival in Tibetan Buddhism. The holiday is celebrated on various dates depending on location (Tibet, Nepal,Bhutan and tibetans residing different part of the country) and tradition.The holiday is a new year's festival, celebrated on the first day of the lunisolar Tibetan calendar, which corresponds to a date in February or March in the Gregorian calendar.
NOTE: Rabjung is the name of the 60-year cycle of the Tibetan calendar that started in 1027 CE, and is currently in its 17th cycle.

On February 17th, 2018, the Tibetan Cultural Society of BC will be hosting the Tibetan New Year of 2145, Year of the Earth Dog, at the Royal Palace Banquet Hall, Burnaby BC. It begins from 5:30 PM to 12:00 AM.

0 to 5 Years - FREE
6 to 12 Years - $15
Seniors - $15
Members - $30
Non-members - $35
Dinner will included together with your ticket, at 7:30 PM. Also there will be Tibetan songs, dances, and many more to entertain you people!
